When I began my journey in motherhood I was one of the first of my friends. I found myself looking to the internet and various social media outlets for inspiration, ideas and information. When I was pregnant and lying in bed with insomnia I remember reading articles that would bring me to tears because I felt like someone was reaching out through the screen and saying, "You are not alone". I started the #ygkmom to give back, to help other mothers on their journey and to blog about being a mom in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
